I've owned nothing but Audi for the last 10 years.  My '90 80q has
210k miles.  My 100S Avant has 192k miles.

I know all about spending money on cars.  Especially Audis.

There's no freakin way I'd be looking at an Audi if what I wanted was
Toyota.  I want Audi, but I want Audi that's gonna kick some ass.  The
2.2 10v is OK, but dog-slow.  The 2.8 V6 is OK, but 172 horses barely
kicks that 2-ton Avant into gear at any time.  And that damn slushbox.
 Blech.  WTF is up with that???

As far as I'm concerned, the 2.2L 20v K24 motor is the pinnacle of
Audi turbo tech on that drivetrain platform.  Robust?  Are you kidding
me?  These motors last forever if you give them good oil and change
the coolant every few years.  The 80q has never had anything more than
timing belt changes.

No, I was a little soft in the head to start - that first Audi 4000q
did it to me.  :)
