Except each time you turn on the fan you have to smell that "Rat Shack contact lubricant" for a while...

Folks,
I mention birds and suddenly everyone has 'em? Apparently so.

Certainly if you go to this length, a heater core change should go along
with it IME.

Not having time to perform this blowerectomy, I removed the two screws
holding in the temp sensor which allows you to at least 'see' the squirrel
cage of the blower. I turned the fan on low and sprayed in about a 1/4 can
of Rat Shack contact lubricant and hoped it will drip down to the wheel
bearing. I also drilled about a 1mm hole where I guessed the motor brushes
might be and sprayed in another 1/4 can of same contact cleaner lubricant.

Will it work? It's still early and extensive time test not yet able to be
done but so far no chirps since I did this on Saturday.
Worth a try perhaps as opposed to 5 -7 hours work.
Bill M
