[s-cars] Door locks

S-men,
I finally got back to working on an old problem with my door locks that I have yet to resolve. Here's what happens:
>From the passenger side everything works as it should.
>From the drivers side the IR does not work. It all locks with the key as it should.
The button on the drivers side door does this:
-With the ignition on, it sends a signal to the control unit that makes the sound it should but the doors don't lock.
-With the ignition on and all doors manually locked from the inside pressing the button will open all the locks.
Question: I have 4 wires running to this switch.  There is one blank terminal.  Is this the way it should be or do I have a loose wire floating around in the door?  I'm quite sure it worked properly for a while after I had the door apart for a new amplifier a long time ago, and it appears to show 4 wires in the wiring diagram so I think it is ok.

I have tried lubricating the driver's lock, checked the vacuum lines on the control module, and checked the wiring.

Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
