[s-cars] window woes

My passenger side window will not go back up, at least not
without an exasperating raindance involving working both window
switches (the passenger side and the master switch)
simultaneously. Once this magic G spot has been found the window
goes back up easily, making me suspect a problem with an
electrical connection rather than the window motor itself. I
have purchased two used but hopefully functional window switches
off Audifans, and am hoping to repair the problem myself. 

Does anyone have any general advice on dismantling the door
panels and whatnot? My strategy so far has been to look for
screws and unscrew them, making notes for future reassembly.
Secondly, is this a problem others have seen and is there
anything in particular I should look for once I get inside?
