Wish mine were that easy. Mine passes all Bentley tests and still has a
problem. I have tried 3 different cruise units and none of them fixed it.

Do I need a new turn signal / cruise control switch?

Here is the results of my tests based on Bentlety's recommendations
1 Test Vacuum lines for leaks - pass

The following tests are run on the pins on the control module wiring
harness.
A Test for power when cruise switched on between (pins 8 - 5) - pass
B Test for ohms when cruise switch moved to resume (pins 8 - 10) - pass
C Test for ohms when cruise set switch pushed (pins 8 - 4) - fail replace
switch
D Test for ohms On Switch and brake pedal vent valve (pins 11 - 5) -
fail replace switch or vent valve
E Test for ohms brake pedal vent valve (pins 11 - 5) - fail replace
brake pedal vent valve
F Test vacuum pump - pump runs fine
G Test vacuum pump vent valve - valve clicks fine

After doing the test, I went for a test drive, and as expected, the
cruise was dead for about 5 minutes, then it started working.
Returning home and restesting still had the same things failing.....
Has anyone replaced this switch? Do I need to pull the transmission
to replace this switch?? <grin>

regards
Tim
