OK, so now that the list has kicked off the pandemic "the pad on my gas
pedal just fell off", what's the hot item to repair it?

I don't much feature replacing the whole shebang as ETKA indicates,
particularly as it's just the hinged cover that fell off. What a bunch of
putzes that designed this one. Team Doorhandle writ large. Suggestions?

Speaking of pandemic, I'm becoming more and more convinced that these cars
are equipped with some sort of embedded mailman client surreptitiously
subscribed to this list, extended by Uwe Ross to interpret our fellow
listers musings as actionable items. It's damn near impossible to find a CD
changer, but these cars had WiMax and GPRS way before their time.
