Hi all
I just had a set of used blizzaks installed on my stock avus wheels by a
local tire shop. When I picked the car up I could hear a rubbing noise from
some where under the car. I had to get home to get my kid off the bus, so I
just drove it the 5 miles home and figured I'd check it once there. I
jacked the car up and found the noise appears to be coming from the middle
of the underside of the car when I spin the wheels by hand. Long story
short, it didn't do this before they swaped my tires.
I also noticed that the car would vibrate around 30-40 mph, not the out of
balance type of shimmy, more like a drivetrain shimmy. The tires came off of
a Rear drive car so 2 tires are 80% and 2 are 50%. The size is the stock
225/55/16.
Could the different tread depth have something to do with the shimmy or
could the idiot tire guys have lifted the car improperly and tisted the
car?
Thanks in Advance
Tim
