Hi Ivan;
I used the 3 mm ultra bright red LEDs from the ashtray illumination off an
A4. The LEDs parts numbers I mentioned in my write-up were used and
suggested by another lister; I didn't try them myself but included the
information because others were asking where to get LEDs. The LEDs I used
are as just bright as the lights in the other switches. Kevin's info sounds
about right; you need 3mm to fit the holder and 3000 mcd is plenty bright
enough.

Hm.. I had those LED's that Fred mentioned in his write-up and they wasn't
bright enough for me.
Tried LED with resistor from RadioShack and it was even darker.
Where did you get those LED's ?
