Lots of out of state plates run around Cali
for extended periods of time, despite what
the DMV says you're supposed to do.

If its not definitely a permanent move I wouldn’t
bother changing registration, but I am a student
so your situation might be different...

Cheers,

Dan

Subject: [s-cars] CA listers: Need Your Advice

Greetings,

Well, life plays tricks on you, and I am now moving to Santa Cruz to
take a position at UCSC. My question for CA listers is thus:

How easy/hard is it to get my 97 S6 certified in CA? It is a Canadian
import, and is currently titled and certified in CO. I assume that CO
and CA emissions standards are fairly close (CA is a little stricter,
I believe). My car is currently an RS2 setup, so it runs richer with
more boost than stock.

Any advice?

Also, any listers in the Santa Cruz/San Jose area? There are a number
of great tracks around there of course (Sears Point, Laguna Seca).

We'll be moving out there in Feb.

Cheers,
Brian
