My name is Douglas and I have not wrenched on my Audi in 3 weeks.

However,  last night the temps dropped into the pooper after five days of
constant, light snowfall which created the dreaded winter slime here in
Minnesnowta.  My white car looked like it had been hit by a mud bomb and I
had to wash it.  Well, wouldn't you know, the door latch froze up, the hand
brake appeared to hang, the clutch was catching on something that prevented
full travel to the floor, and of course, the washer system on the Avant
hatch has never worked well.  Sigh.

The door latch is the most pressing problem.  The exterior latch works, but
the interior does not.  The Bowden cable is securely fastened to the inside
latch (I looked) which means that it probably became unhooked at the latch
mechanism itself, which means that I have to take the bloody door completely
appart and my garage is colder than the bottom of a deep well in - well in
December at zero deg. F.
