Nic,
  At Road America this year my student had a W8 with the sport package. 
I was impressed with it. It had a nice amount of power and felt very 
well balanced for a stock car. Our first few laps the track was wet and 
we had the ESP on because the track was very slippery from the vintage 
races and all the oil on the track and on turn six the rear of the car 
let loose and if it wasn't for the ESP we would have gone around. That 
was my first real experience with really using the ESP and it was 
great. On the other hand I had my wife's S6 Avant there and when my 
student road with me he was very impressed with the car and said he 
thought it was a better ride overall than his W8 Avant. So, good luck.
