Simple reason is that the warm up time makes them ineffective......buy the
time they are at full strength, you have to dim them for oncoming traffic.
And they are totally useless for flash-to-pass.
Of course, if you live in an area with long deserted stretches of road, then
they might be cool to have......
To which I reply:
I might also add that the high beams actually work. Not quite like the 100WH4/h1's of my long departed 4KQ, but they are acceptable.
On a side note - I fixed the oil pressure sending unit the other night. Nice to fix something for $5. No longer willing to tempt fate or the Audi gods, I also bought a MFTS unit, as this predictable failure will inevitably occur. This list has made my car so predictable. Just gotta get to the leaking boost hose! At least that KEEPS me OUT of trouble!
