Aw Dave
No worries - my car has adopted the loving trait of randomly locking all
doors whenever the trunk is closed...
Regardless where the keys are.

Hi David;

I've never heard of this, but the likely cause is a short in the wire bundle
that runs from the car body into the trunk lid. These wires flex every time
you open and close the trunk and the insulation eventually fails. The trunk
has an electric push button release in the glovebox - if the taillight
wiring and trunk release wiring are shorted it would release the trunk when
the lights were turned on.

Hello All,

My friend just bought an S6 and the trunk unlocks when you turn on the
headlights.  Anyone ever seen this?

Thanks
