I may have come to this party late and missed a good deal of previous repairs/diagnosis. If the coil and plug were replaced, compression is ok and you still have a miss, what have you done on the injection side? I'm sure you have tested the injector. Are you getting full battery voltage to one wire and a clean switched ground from the other? The key is to find out what is lacking. Three things are need... fuel, ignition and compression. To break it down further, proper quality/ quantity of each is important. Just the other day i had a 2.0 jetta not start. I had everthing, good fuel pressure/volume, spark, timing and compression. Here i found the actual coil, although putting out a good sprak, only putting about about 15kv, as opposed to 35kv or so that is needed to light off the engine. When it's missing, pull the plug to read it. Carboned up? Dry, wet? Shoot me an email and i'll dig through my tech dox to see what i can find.
