[s-cars] Bad Generator/Alternator

I removed mine while doing my timing belt.  I didn't use any special
tools.  The only thing I can think of is maybe VAG has a special tool to
release the tension on the serpentine belt?  You won't need any special
tools AFAIK.

Purchased a battery about six months ago for my S and it's now dead and
won't hold a charge.  Any tips on removing the generator on a 92 S4? The
Bently CD indicates that I need a special tool to remove it. Can it be
done
without the tool?
