I went thru the same thing this past year with Stebro.   Just last month I
finally got the replacement muffler that was supposed to quiet it down....
but it's only slightly better.    And I agree, the fit is not right.     The
pipes in the middle are about 3 inches from the pavement and there is really
no easy way to fix it.

I agree with Dave. I tried stebro on my 94 S4 and it was loud and the fit
was bad. They sent me another that was supposed to be less loud but it was
not.
