[s-cars] Airbag light staying on!

Guys,

My airbag light came on tonight while driving and has not gone
off.  I have restarted the car several times but it comes on
when the ignition is turned and does not go off until the car is
shut off.

Any ideas why this happened or what it means?  I was waiting for
my fiance outside the grocery store with the car idling for
about 5 min and then when she put on her seatbelt the light came
on and won't go out!!!

Any help is appreciated.
