[s-cars] Just drives you nuts...re-assessment...

When I first looked at the damage the car was still wet. I was in the garage
a few hours later when it had a chance to dry off. The damage is much worse
that I originally thought. The hit starts at the apex of the wheel arch,
there are a couple of scratches down to metal. The door also has a band of
scratches about 6" wide above the protection strip. And there appears to a
dimple in the passenger door protection strip.

So this guy has dragged his bumper across my car for 6 feet. The mind
boggles at the total lack of driving skills.

I am somewhat careful where I park. I never park next to a SUVs or
mini-vans. Generally park at several slots away from other cars. Very
occasionally will I park next to other cars and that is if no other spaces
available.

Thanks everboby for the links to sources for protection strips.

Tony

Hey Tony,

VM Autohaus ( http://www.vmautohaus.com , 604-298-9637 ) carries them.
Even with shipping they're still _much_ cheaper than the stealer.
