While we're on the subject of exhaust systems, what's the collective
opinion on keeping the stock system and upgrading the catalytic converters?

It seems to me that ~10 year old cats must impose a non-negligible
restriction, even relative to the original spec.

Assuming this is a good idea, does anyone have a brand and/or model of
converter that they like?

Personally I'm not interested in running without them, although being
able to swap in straight pipes for the occasional track day would be nice.
