It's part of the VIN.  The following is an example of what the supplier
is looking for:
VIN:  WAUKA84AXSN012345
Chassis #:       4A_S_012345

The 4A is the chassis type.
The "S" indicates the model year (In your case it should be a "T" for
your '96).
The end is the serial number.
