It was a US regulation that required OBDII. That is why S-cars ended their reign in US at 95.5 model year. 96 and on were Canadian spec. Nw, my 96 S6 does not have the OBDII port. I understand that the 97 S6 does.
I'd like to know what happened to the. I have been lead to believe the A6 Avant was sold in US up to the 98 model year - Shokan has one parting out.
