VAG has had a "V5" (VR6 minus one cylinder, how unbalanced must that
be?) for a few years now. I drove a V5 Golf4 GTI for a bit in
Koblenz, it was fairly decent, I think it was also specc'd as 150hp.

But the new Jetta engine, according to multiple sources that I have
read, is a inline 5 , based on the 2.0L engine family. (not half of a
Lambo 5.0L which is just an Audi 4.2 with 2 extra cylinders, IIRC).

Never trust Autoweek's pictures, they are horrrible for picture accuracy.

Cheers,
Keith
