[s-cars] ARGH!! Stalling at idle

Absolutely Tom, thanks for asking ;-)
One thing I did not note previously is that I have a new O2 sensor - only 5K
or so miles on it. The fault code is a 00561 - Mixture Adaptation -
Adaptation Limit (Add) not reached. All display groups are in spec except 9
(O2S adaptation). Spec is 100 - 141. Prior to the new O2S I read 48.
After I read 63. This per Bentley points to:
1. The fuel system pressure being too high (I'm running MTM 1+ 3bar)
2. O2S (New sensor 5K miles ago)
3. MAF
4. Air leak between turbo and TB.
I pressurized the intake last night and did/do have a leak at the MAF to
turbo hose at the turbo. Relatively small and I can't imagine much/any
un-metered air being pulled through there.
I will look at some more things this weekend as I will have more time.
In the meantime, keep 'em coming. I'm trying to fill my dance card for the
weekend.
Regards,
Mark

Mark,
Obviously, you went to the trouble to connect a VAG-COM to your vehicle
to try to
find the problem. Just what was this diagnostic code that might
describe what sensor
has reached the limit of its operating range ? There is a good
diagnostic section with
the Bentley CD that points where to go with each dtc returned by the
VAG-COM.
Otherwise, all you can get from this list are WAGs. Perhaps, no one
here has the answer.
So, you want to tell us what the problem is?
This OBD II wild goose chase isn't going to fix your car, besides you
already mentioned
a VAG check, which is assumed to mean VAG-COM.
