ok:
first off, igor:
"Firstly I for one find it quite unethical to use one very well
established portal to advertise another w/o first obtaining the consent
of the owner. Darin's in this case. IMO his legal actions are just and
adequate."
are you calling my portal established? why thank you.
if you are trying to say you think it is unethical for a new portal to
advertise an established
portal, then i understand what you are saying. but maybe you should
proofread what you are typing first before you start making
allegations about proof reading and spelling when your rcomment
grammatically does not make any sense.
PLEASE READ:
IIF YOU WANT TO MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT MY SITE FINE,
I HAVE GOTTEN OVER 15 EMAILS ABOUT MY TYPING AND GRAMMAR.
I DONT HAVE A PC NEAR ME!
I AM TYPING THESE LONG EMAILS ON A BLACKBERRY WITH MY THUMBS!
IN MOST CASES WHILE I AM WALKING OR DRIVING!
IF YOU HAVE SOME CRITISM SAY IT
BUT ENOUGH ABOUT MY GODDAMN SPELLING.
DO NOT READ MY EMAILS IF YOU ARE INCAPABLE OF DECYPHERING A COUPLE OF WORDS.
secondly, i must be a real monster to promote other people's websites.
what a prick i am,
to give plugs to people..
finally,
i have sent a couple messages to forums in both the u.s. u.k.
australia and german portal's,
IT seems that the only negative comments are coming from u.s. people.
which goes to show that amercian's are far more preoccupied with
legalities and sueing people than you are with sharing and exposing
developments and other people.
i find it sad that minimal people gave me critism's like we are
missing this, or i'd really love to see this. I got that from many
other poeple. But here on audi fans.....i get copyrigt infringement,
and grammar comments. Likei said before over 80% of teh pics i have
permission touse. the german sites love that they are getting exposure
from non german speaking people. my site has now gotten over 25,000
hits in a week and a half.
that being said, after thinking long and hard, i have realized that if
you dont like my site, please dont go to it. i don't need any
negativity around me.
I thought that s-cars sent me a lawyers letter i was wrong. It was a
member from s-cars that didnt want his car on my site. Darin is a
straight up guy in my opinion that wants to further the audi scene,
not hold it back like many of you people that are afraid of change,
negative people that dont offer constructive critism, they just want
to offer negativity and rub dirty in the wounds.
i have to say i am sick to my stomach with some people in this
resource. i ahev been helped out in teh past my many otehrs, so i will
not overgeneralize....
i will be building my site for myself only, so i can find and navigate
stuff that i want.
i have gotten amazing encouragement from the u.k. club and now have 2
new contributing editors from australia's 20v club.
Seems their values are al ittle bit diff.
i now realize that this community for the most part has gotten way to
serious and stuck up for me, i see that unlike your european
counterparts, you have 0 interest in expanding the sport, you are all
content with what you have. and because of it i have no interest in
being part anymore.
thanks to those who have already helped out.
Darin, thans for all yoru help and suggestions, they are very
constructive and have helped. If you are still interested in building
the portal tobe a real portal (collection of audi sites and links to
teh right resources for teh rigth peopel) i am still def interested in
getting involved.
to the rest of you that can;t understand the concept of walking and
typing, driving and typing or simply typing fast on a
blackberry.....well...c'mon
get over yoiruself already.
this isnt english class.
p.s.
thanks for the extra kick in the ass i needed to make my portal amazing.
some of you will relize their is an opportunity to get in on the
ground of a great new audi resource. And for those of you that do, my
door is open.
