has a larger amount of shorter wavelength light than yellow or selective
yellow light. Shorter waves tend to scatter more (i.e. glare) than longer
waves, which refract less. Hence Daniel's recomendation, is based upon
sound scientific principles. Fogs are intened to be used in high glare
situations. In the situation of S-Fest, in which the fog was entirely in our
minds, pure candlepower is all that mattered, in which case, HID's in
as many fixtures as possible (heh, let's try the corner's!) adds to the 
dazzle effect and sure looks impressive. So, as in my first post, if your
goal is to improve your driving visibility, you would want incandescent
lighting for your fogs, or IF you insist on HID's, some form of dichroic
coating to selectively eliminate the short wavelength light (i.e. blue) to
decrease the glare. However, since it's simpler to simply stick by simple
H3/H1 or whatever incandescent bulbs, do that. I didn't want to say "I
told you so when I first posted, I figured go to the source, make a decision, 
go from there". Too bad the fogs in our S-lamps aren't adaptable to the HID
bulbs, there, the increased lumens of longer wavelengths (IR doesn't contribute
whatsoever to vision) would extend the range of the fogs w/o increased 
glare.
