Don't think you can Bob.
There are some useful features of the VAG-COM.
It will give you real time feedback of the engine operating parameters.

I did talk to the makers of the VAG-COM.
NO group buys... very sad indeed.

They have had some major support issues with the last GP they got involved 
in, so we are out of luck.
