[s-cars] more ignition switch questions - loose lock

Gentlemen,

Picked up the actual electrical portion of the ignition switch, only
$19.95 at the FLAPS. 

Concern I have is the ignition "lock" assembly comes out on it's own.
Did some questioning at the parts/service place and learned that there
is a "housing" that the "lock" assembly is supposed to stay in, and the
ignition switch itself is attached at the other end.

The switch I was sold is part $4A0 905 849 B, here is a pic of it.

My questions are
#1 Did I get the right ignition switch?
#2 Why is the "lock" assembly loose, is something else broken?
#3 Does anything else need to be replaced?
