Try using someone other than TAP. And if you're going to go through the
effort of changing out the pressure sensor, well I have to ask why, if all
you intend to run is basically stock boost levels which by your
comment/concern re: potentially burning a valve, but no plans or wish to
change the exhaust manifold etc. you feel you need/want to change the
pressure sensor.
If you are going to change the pressure sensor, get a decent set of chips
for your ECU.
The bigger spring is a band aid. If you have an early TAP setup, its
probable you may already have a bigger spring. IIRC, that was a fairly
common TAP kludge/innovation. The bigger springs can reduce "creep" but too
much spring can also prevent the ECU from doing its job. From what I've
seen of list traffic, and personal experience, the WASTE GATE's on these
cars rarely, very rarely fail, ... or need to be rebuilt for that matter.
my 2 semi sentient cents
