[s-cars] Auxiliary fog lights

What is your issue with winter conditions, any snow / slush would melt off a 
hot intercooler. I assume your intercooler is always hot :-)

The only drawbacks would be the oxidation of the aluminum due to salt and 
dirt from the roads.
