What you really want are the polished aluminum mirror caps.  Generally
ebay or ebay.de is the place to look for these or the chrome plated
plastic ones too.

The genuine passenger side was / is  / are pretty hard to come by as
IIRC they were only made for pre face lift A8's (I believe.)  

I waited and waited to find a set, finally gave up when an A8 pal simply
gave me a set he no longer needed.  Very nice!
