Yes, it's a 95.
pinion whine? I assume you mean the pinion in the front diff? Why would
that only whine in first gear, and not all the others?

Hmmm, I thought Mike said he had a Tornado Red '95, or was that somebody
else?

Hammer it.  The whining is just a sign of character.  It's that race car
straight cut gear noise you always wanted.
