[s-cars] Baby's Hurt

All,

I need your collective help and solace. While returning from an errand
Tuesday night, I hit a patch of black ice as I accelerated up an S-shaped
onramp. Just before the transition, I found myself going sideways. As the
onramp bent to the right, I kept on my straight path through the transition
and the front climbed the snowy curb and I hit a sign post just in front of
the front wheel on the passenger side. The impact spun the back end around
so I was facing oncoming traffic.

I restarted the engine, backed around, and drove onto the highway looking
for a well lit place to pull over and asses the damage. The oil light came
on. I found a parking lot about a half a mile up the road. I could hear
the engine as I turned into the lot and shut it down.

The exterior damage is not too bad. The fender is punched in about 6"
between the wheel and the front of the car. The side light is gone but the
headlight is intact and does not appear to have moved. The hood is likewise
untouched. The corner of the bumper is gone and the trim above it is no
good.

The bigger potential issue is the oil cooler and the loss of lubricant. I
don't know if the engine was damaged by driving after the accident.

I am looking for a passenger side fender, bumper (or bumper cover), corner
trim, sidelight, miscellaneous bits associated with the oil cooler mounting
and shrouding, and it looks like some of the air intake system. Plus your
collective wisdom on how to asses the engine condition. The patient is a
95.5 S6 Avant in Casablanca White. Parts of any color welcome.

The car is in my garage at the moment. I have not had the time to get to it
yet. We have some pretty pressing medical stuff going on in our house at
the moment. If there is anyone in the Twin Cities area that would like to
help me get a handle on this, please contact me off list.

As always, thanks in advance.
