Mike and Charlie,
Sorry, you guys are both wrong on this one. Larry's car has an Accusump system, which is simply a pressurized reservoir (a piston working against a big spring with an ignition controlled valve) that holds a couple of quarts of oil under pressure to keep the oil pressure up in the event that the pickup sucks air. He put it in because he was losing oil pressure in some long corners at the track. For more info, go to: http://www.accusump.com/
A true dry sump system is exactly that, a system with no oil in the sump where the sump has external scavenging pumps that transfer the oil to an oil reservoir with another pump that draws from the reservoir to feed the engine.

Larry at Champagne has a dry sump reservoir mounted on the dark
gray urq up in the cowl rain tray where the heat/AC air intake usually
lives. I can't remember if he as a 3B or AAN in that car but it's one
or the other.
