[s-cars] Do the UrS4/6 cars suffer from head and/or FI issues?

I have owned mine for >60k miles (80-140k)and 4 years and I have done less
than $1k in unplanned repairs. By far one of the most reliable cars I have
ever owned, much better than my '01 2.7T A6 with only 37k miles! The folks
over on Audi World are much more knowledgeble on the newer stuff but I
wouldn't pay much attention to their advice on these cars. BTW, I could
trade in my '92 for a newer one but I simply don't see the plus side of this
trade. Since the UrS4 cost about 45k in '92 dollars new and the B5's cost
about the same in 2002 dollars you tell me which one is built better :)

Sean,

We own two 1993 Audi S4's. the wife drives a stock black one with ~
120,000 miles on it. I drive a silver one with RS2 mods and ~ 235,000
miles on it.

These cars have been extremely reliable and damn fun!
I say go for it!

I went to the link and read his statmemt, what he meant was if you
break one of these parts its expensive to replace, not that they are
problem areas. And I must say that I can't recall either of these
rearing their ugly heads as a "problem" area.

Jump in the water is fine!

Chris
Two 1993 UrS4's (carbon fiber trim baby!) and happy with both!
Now we need to do the RS2 mods on the wife's car! :-)
