[s-cars] Engine surging

FWIW, today I finished replacing my downpipe in my S6. In the process,
I discovered a new O2 sensor I had left over from my 4kq. That means
this sensor is 10+ years old, but never used. I installed it with the
new downpipe.

After sitting for 8 weeks, the car started right up. (it's in the 20s
here in Seattle, BTW) The surging I had while cold is gone.

Maybe your problem is as simple as a new O2 sensor?
