I've 'heard' it can be removed while it's still in the car, but wouldn't
want to try it personally.  I'm not as much a glutton as you or many
others here.  Mine was part of my 2x trans install (a far cry from a
Baloneyesque 7 or 12), yes.

BTW, bwhahahaha to the 'enough broken stuff to fix'.  Refrain one's best
from Mark's earlier inclination to pump it full of lead via the barreled
method...

As if I didn't have enough broken stuff to fix, you've caught my
attention on this mod.  Can't say I like the feel of the stock shift
throw.

How hard is it to remove the shift rod w/tranny in place?  I imagine you
did yours as part of adding a gear and losing some poundage from your
flywheel? ;)
