and what better time to reflect upon thoughts of Smania than the dead of
winter? Whilst some unnamed wusses have now parked their pigs so as not
to ruin the shine. in the famous words of Wavy "Argentine Taxi Patina"
Davy,. " who cares?" Chasing this dream, I haven't washed mine in two
months now (no time) and the mud streaks have turned into ever changing
artwork whilst 'carefully' driving like it I stole it. The new Nordic
snows allow navigation through what most folk would say are the worst
possible conditions. Now if I could just get all those other vehicles
out of the way;)

Isn't it exciting to note that the newest, latest, coolest, hottest,
vehicles coming from all corners of the world now are called something
like 'sportwagons?" I had packed my wife and four (count em) kids into
the race car station wagon last Sunday to haul them to the Field Museum
downtown. No problem except whilst I was innercity parking the Stromung
ran the usual test of all the nearby car alarms. fun

I wonder when this car will give up? An '03 S8, back n camel would be a
nice replacement, but no stick and less performance is food for thought.
My wifes nav+, Bluetooth, ipod equipped, '00, A8 is just a great car and
an incredible value. The stock suspension could use improvement, but
for her its fine. I have considered waiting a few years, getting her a
Phaeton (5000lb pig,) removing the big VW logos and simply rebhadging it
a Bentley or Lambo as no one would know WTF it is anyhoo.

WRT sfest hourly driving, what better once a year opportunity to get out
there on the open road, a thousand miles from home and break down?
Worst that could happen is some tranny problem and butofcourse I live
for that;)

Cheer's
