[s-cars] ecode Xenons

I've been working on a lighting upgrade on my '02 A6 which came with
halogens.

 

Here's what I found. C5 ecode Xenon lamps do not have twin filament side
marker lights. The side light is only used for signaling, not "park" or
running light duties. There is a city bulb between the high and low beams,
but that's too far inboard (and white) to be considered a parking light by
the local constabularies.

This makes it awfully difficult to swap these lamps onto a NA car. The
connectors are built into the housing so it doesn't look like a simple mod
to make these twin filament bulbs.

 

Anyone else try this particular upgrade?
