[s-cars] Opps I slid and hit a curb.

Jason,

I think you aren't getting too many replies because we (I am, apparently,
the self-appointed spokensperson for the S list) aren't really sure what you
bent. The urS doesn't have a "spindle"; each wheel has a hub that is
mounted in the strut assembly via a press fit wheel bearing. What is bent?
Front or rear? I believe the rear is the same as the A6 (except for the
brakes) but the front is not. The drive shaft in the front might be the
same as the A6 manual, but the strut housing is not, nor are the brakes. I
think the control arm is the same.

HTH...sorry I don't have more for ya.

Tom

I have a 93 s4 and I slid a hit a curb today and bent up the arm on the
spindle that mounts to the tie rod. I need to know if the S4 spindles are
the same as the late model 100 or early A6 I don't want to spend $600 for a
new one from audi but if they are the same I'm sure I can find one in a
junkyard somewhere.

Thanks
Jason
