[s-cars] ecode Xenons

I have an '01 A6 and I am wondering why you guys are replacing your Xenons.
So far, my only problem, is the stupid "adjustment" that happens while
driving where sometimes my lights wind up pointing only 25 feet in front of
the car and sometimes they are great. Do the European ones do away with
this innane feature that was never needed on headlights for the last 100
years? Thanks.

Lee,
in actuality this should not be all that difficult. I will replace the
DOT Xe on my 2004 Allroad with Euros as soon as I manage to source them.
The slightly different wiring is all hidden inside. The Euros in the C5
should be a direct swap for our lights.
My current ride, the '97 UrS6 has Euro Xe with parking lights and turn
signals properly wired to the e-code.
Most of my Audis all had Euros with the proper European parking lights
activated. They all had proper European single filament side markers,
working not in the indistinguishable American BRIGHTER-DIMMER but the
proper fool-proof European ON-OFF manner. Never had a problem. Neither
with the constabulary, nor with inspection stations.
