Jack,

first check and make sure you have enough fluid in your resevoir, both
hydraulic and brake fluid. I attached the flush FAQ Fred Munro sent me.

After that you can try flushing your hydraulic system before replacing
the bomb. But it sounds like you need a new brake pressure accumulator
aka "the bomb". The cost for the part is ~ $225 and it'll take you
about 30 minutes to change it. Also budget a couple cans of hydraulic
fluid. There is a good write up on replacing the bomb here:
