  I am surprised the numbers would get that high in stop and go. 1200 is
pretty hot. Maybe you are running a little lean if you see 1200 in stop
and go. Obviously, the race car doesn't do stop and go (at least not
intentionally!), so I have no comparo. Race is sometimes pulled by the
Audi wagon (MAC!)

these temperatures, in Fahrenheit, are what I see on my well modified S6
wagon at the track. I can see 1200 degrees in town during stop-n-go
traffic.
