before you mess with the subframe, notice that the antiroll bar also serves
as tension rods for the front control arms. make sure the antiroll bar is
straight and that the ends are properly attached to the control arms.
assuming that everything seems to be in order, i would then take
diagonal measurements of the suspension pickup points. measure from
the left front to right rear, and right front to left rear. that
will tell you whether the subframe is properly squared to the chassis
(or rather, rear subframe, but that's what you care about).
you can do this measurement by hanging a plumb bob, marking the tip's point
on the floor, and repeating for the other suspension pickup points. then
simply measure between the marks. the cross-measurements should be
within 1/8" of each other. BTW, you need a fairly flat and level floor
to do this.
