Mark, been minus 1000 here for too long now, but I have yet to see any ice
forming into he corners of the windshield. I tend to travel at 75 MPH or so
(when practical) and in these conditions all has been grand.
Are you getting up to temp ? Maybe there is not enough hot air.

Subject: [s-cars] Front Windscreen Defroster

I have not had much/any time to post let alone reply so this thought is
about 1 week old. Quattro = great car excelling in crappy road conditions,
e.g. snow. Soooo, driving home from work and all is well with outside temps
at maybe 18F. Cold for D.C. but not crazy cold. Snow is coming down a bit
but not too bad. After about ½ hour I have ice accumulating in the lower
corners of the windscreen. Seems like somewhere between my '86 5KCSTQ and
the '96 S6 "they" decided that there is no need to have defrost vents at the
extreme corners. What do my brethren living/driving further north do? I
don't really care about the ice other than it does not clear the glass as
well as rubber.

On the defroster subject, when I hit Auto, I pump air out the defroster vent
and the only what to get air out of center vents is to hit the center vent
button on the CC. Is this a default position trying to tell me I have a
fault or.?

Thanks in advance.

Mark
