Ivan,
Are you sure the fan is operating properly? The pump
will run for considerably longer if the fan doesn't
come on.
Have you tried jumping the two wires at the mainifold
temp sensor - both the fan and pump should come on it
not. Try turning on the AC the electric fan chould
come on then.
I recently "lost" my fan. Turned out to be a shorted
conection (little blue connector behind drives head
lamp) had afreyed wire and washer fliuid was dripping
on it. There are two relays (#214 I think) - for this
system - try swaping them.

List,
Have 3 small issues for now :)
1. I just noticed yesterday that Afterrun pump stayed
on forever. It
stayed
on without fan, but fan operates properly (i.e.
afterrun system works
fine,
but this time pump never turned off). This make me
think that also they
should operate together - they turned on by separate
relays and the one
that
connects pump sticking. Where is that relay located
and where is
electric
schema in Bentley?
It's 93' S4 and I have 3 book Bentley. Found main
cooling circuit, but
can't
find afterrun.
2. May be not an issue at all.. I had coolant starting
to boil over
before
fan kick in (had to keep it at 4k RPM for minutes to
test operation (it
wouldn't overheat on a road). I replaced thermoswitch
and this time fan
started little sooner but still too late in my
opinion. When in my
usual
driving temp stays at this thick bar or little lower
on highway little
higher in traffics - this time it got up to almost
next thinner bar
before
fan turned on. But fan is 2 speed.. When second speed
will be turned
on?
Do I have correctly operating cooling system?
3. Moldings get rusty on the ends and start to pop
off. Upper left rear
door
just snapped off yesterday. How do you fix them? What
part # for clips?
TIA
Ivan
