You might find more on this on other lists or FAQ areas of Audifans.
The 5000 and
IIRC, the 200 models used a thermal connector (Big Fuse) in this
area that limited
the current to the fan to prevent fires. The main fan was electric
as well, and all of
them run a lot of current on medium and high speed. It was more
accessible, but
suffered the same corrosion problems causing circuit failure.
Other than that information, I would look at an electrical supply
house rather than
auto supply for a suitable connector for the high current load.
