Firstly, thanks to all who provided advice on installation, rotors,
brake lines and pads.

Took me about 3 hours, very easy to do with no problems. My only concern
was putting 90 ft-lbs of torque through the bracket allen bolts with a
3/8 drive 10 mm socket. I tried to find a 1/2 drive 10mm hex socket
locally, but couldn't. Looks like I'll be buying the Snap-on one for
$25.

Wired up the OEM wear sensors by splicing in a standard 2 terminal VW
connector that is water-proof. Also used the little clip that holds the
sensor wire to the H-clip - neat.

The only other minor snag was the brake line I bought was too short by
about 1.5 inches, so as a temporary measure, I re-used the OEM hardline
and rubber hose. I will order longer lines and install later. The one I
bought was 335 mm long, so I guess 375-400 mm should be fine.

Took it for a short test drive and its quiet as a mouse, no squeaks or
squealing. I'll be doing the suggested break-in, seasoning the rotors
and bedding the pads before I do any heavy braking.

For the record, I'm running 993tt/928 GTS, big blacks, S8 rotors
(323x30), RS2 brackets, Textar pads, OEM vibration dampers, OEM wear
sensors and clips.

For the record, part two, the 314x30 mm rotors do NOT work, the pad
hangs over the edge of the rotor by 4 mm. I found this out the hard way
- anyone want to buy my 314x30 mm rotors?
