Feico,

If I remember right when I replaced mine in an '89 200 I talked to Scott
Mockry and he said that the all brass ones (I don't know of any aluminum
ones) actually failed more often than the stock ones with the plastci end
caps. The way I look at it is that if it was good enough for 150k miles +
the second one will probably take me to then end of my time with the car.

Subject: [s-cars] All aluminum heater core

To all

Does anyone know where I can buy an all aluminum heater core (no plastic end
caps) and any idea if they are any good?

My heater core has been broken for 9 months and I am finally going to fix it
... I have a replacement with plastic end caps ... but someone suggested
there
may be one that is all aluminum.

Best regards,
Feico van der Laan
