Hap: I know, I know. Its just that the potential for shiny aluminum bits to be seen by some kid in a turbo'd Honda Civic and him saying to me "Nice Intercooler, Dude" just isn't that appealing. The Second Rule of Forgie mods is "Stealth is Wealth". If the kid can't see the intercooler, he won't have any idea why I just smoked him. ;>)

I have followed this thread and held my keyboard until now. First and
foremost, with the stock grills in place it is very hard to see the FMIC. The
horizontal fins are very deep and provide a cloaking to keep you very stealthy.
Besides, doesn't this violate the Forgied rule of modification? If it doesn't help
you go faster or stop faster, just don't do it!
What hasn't been revealed is the significant loss of power that a certain
member of the CO Mafia had after anodizing his FMIC. The only reason that
electronic pieces have anodized aluminum parts is corrosion. As for me, I polish mine
regularly to get as much Bling as I can ;-)
