[s-cars] Offtopic: Beer and fun

Well, maybe not *so* offtopic for this list :)
 
If you're in the Boston area, please join me and my bike racing team this
Wednesday evening.

For the first time, the Boston Road Club has fielded a team for the Pan Mass
Challenge. Team members are riding and providing mechanical and other
assistance for the event, which will be held the first weekend of August.

Riding 194 miles from Sturbridge to Boston, some 4,000 riders will raise
more than $20M for the Jimmy Fund and cancer research and we need *your*
help to make our team goal of $20,000!

To help kick off the event only a couple of weeks from now, the Boston Road
Club is hosting a fundraising event this Wednesday evening at the Harpoon
Brewery. We'll enjoy a tour of the brewery, a beer tasting and some great
socializing. At the Brewery, we will also hold a drawing for tickets to the
Red Sox game this coming Saturday evening. The tickets include a pass to a
pre-game party and I understand that some of the Red Sox will be at the
party...what a special way to celebrate!
